At the end of the Best Kept Village in Staffordshire Presentation of Awards evening on Monday 1st August came a special award presented by the Vice-Chairman of Staffordshire County Council, Bob Fraser.  He had been so impressed by the display of children’s posters when he drove through the village that a special certificate was awarded to Haughton St Giles School.  The Certificate of Corporate Recognition was awarded to the school ‘in recognition of your exceptional contribution to the appearance of Staffordshire County’.  This wonderful display of the children’s support for the Best Kept Village competition can be viewed on the fence opposite St Giles’ Church.
